President Obama Thinks Sony Made A Mistake By Pulling ‘The Interview’ From Theaters

President Barack Obama

President Barack Obama thinks Sony made a grave mistake by pulling their controversial film, The Interview, from theaters ahead of its Christmas day release date.

The leader of the free world expressed his sentiments in a year-end press conference where he addressed the matter.

“We cannot have a society in which some dictator someplace can start imposing censorship here in the United States,” he said. “Because if somebody is able to intimidate folks out of releasing a satirical movie, imagine what they start doing when they see a documentary that they don’t like, or a news report that they don’t like — or even worse, imagine if producers and distributors and others start engaging in self-censorship because they don’t want to offend the sensibilities of somebody whose sensibilities probably need to be offended. That’s not who we are. That’s not what America is about.”

After receiving threats of 9/11 style attacks from the entertainment company’s hackers, the multi-billion dollar corporation decided to pull the plug indefinitely. Reports have also surfaced that the FBI believes North Korea was behind the demise of this reel, which depicted their leader, Kim Jong Un, as the target of an assassination. Obama also said the U.S. “will respond” to North Korea’s actions in a time and place that best suits his administration.

Tampa Native Galen Graham Finds New Music Opportunities In Los Angeles

Tampa Native Galen Graham Finds New Music Opportunities In Los Angeles

Anyone who knows, has worked with, or worked for Galen Graham is familiar with the success he had in Tampa in promoting several clubs in the area.

Graham and his team were responsible for the rebirth of the Manilla Lounge and other popular night spots.

However, when the club business took a turn for the worse, Graham never stopped working in the industry.

He moved to Atlanta where he was responsible for the success of a popular dinner club.

“Things were going great for me in Atlanta. With my family and other business interests in Tampa, I managed to travel back-and-forth, making sure everything was going smoothly.

“While in Atlanta, I got a call from an old friend, Sly Jordan, who had ventured out to California and started working with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and their team. He asked me to come out and join them, and with the success I was having in Atlanta, that was a hard decision to make.”

However, Graham found the offer too good to refuse, and since relocating to Los Angeles, he’s helped manage the careers of several aspiring artists, worked right alongside Dr. Dre and other music and movie celebrities, and also launched a couple of outside projects.

“Thanks to the connections I’ve made, a big talent search will be coming to Tampa that’s being done by the tops in the music business in California.

“A new reality of the music industry is record companies are becoming obsolete. Everyone is streaming music now, and CDs are becoming relics. My team, Bum Rush Media, will be streaming music and I want to make sure the talented artists in Tampa take advantage of this opportunity.”

Graham said they’ve already ventured into Colorado and Michigan, and Dr. Dre is ready to sign a lot of people to contracts.

“Dr. Dre and some of the members of N.W.A. have just finished a movie about the group and its origin. I have a brand, Kushtown, and I will be marketing all kind of products.”

Graham said he’s been very busy in the entertainment industry, and fortunately he’s adapted to the changes and the fact that it’s all media now.

“The company most responsible for the marketing of hip hop music, Interscope, closed their doors more than a year ago.

“God has blessed me to evolve into an entirely new genre of entertainment, and it all started in Tampa. That’s why I am obligated to the artists in Tampa to make sure they take advantage of all of the opportunities out there for them.”

Graham said he will be in-and-out of Tampa a lot in the next few months, and he will make sure the people who are looking for that big break know it.

Graham has been a part of projects that have involved multi-hitmaker Fliptyce, one of Africa’s top producers. Orion Peace, who has worked with Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder, Stephen Marley, Rakim, Cassidy, Lauryn Hill, Seun Kuti and others, has secured a partnership with Bum Rush Records/Afermath Records, founded by Graham and Jordan.

Tracy Morgan In Intensive Care After NJ Crash

Tracy Morgan In Intensive Care After NJ Crash

30 Rock star Tracy Morgan is in intensive care following a serious crash on the New Jersey Turnpike north of Trenton, state police confirm.

The comedian’s tour bus was one of the six vehicles impacted when the driver of a Wal-Mart tractor-trailer came upon slow-moving traffic in the northbound lanes at Exit 7A near Cranbury Township and was unable to stop in time, state police said.

Morgan, 45, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, as confirmed by a hospital spokesperson.

James McNair, of Peekskill, N.Y., a passenger on Morgan’s bus, died in the crash, Sgt. 1st Class Greg Williams told the Associated Press. In addition to Morgan, two other passengers were in critical condition, and one was listed as fair, he said. Two occupants weren’t injured.

Police say one of the passengers from his bus died; three others were critically injured and one is listed as being in fair condition.

Morgan did a stand-up comedy gig in front of 1500 fans Friday night at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Delaware and presumably was on his way back to his home in Bergen County, N.J. His scheduled appearance at the Fillmore Charlotte in North Carolina on Saturday night has been canceled.

Accident investigation and cleanup kept that section of the road closed until 6:30 a.m.

Morgan joined Saturday Night Live in 1996 and was on the sketch-comedy program for seven years before leaving to star in The Tracy Morgan Show in 2003. That show lasted just one season. In 2006, Morgan found a long-running role in NBC’s hit show30 Rock, which was created by SNL co-star Tina Fey.

Morgan grew up fatherless, one of five siblings, in a blighted section of Brooklyn, where he helped raise and support the family.

Morgan and his fiancee, Megan Wolover, welcomed their first child in July.

Beyonce, Jay Z announce joint summer tour

Beyonce, Jay Z announce joint summer tour

Cue the screams: One of the hardest-working couples in show business is headed on tour.
On Monday, Jay Z and Beyonce announced a joint summer trek that will take them to 16 cities throughout North America, starting in June.
The married couple first stirred anticipation that they’d tour together in early April, but the buzz was initially dampened by Jay Z revealing that his 2014 “Made in America” music festival will play in both Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
It seems the pair just wanted an element of surprise. Their announcement of the “On the Run” tour arrived complete with an image of the two wearing ski masks.
Even before they quietly tied the knot in 2008, Mr. and Mrs. Carter have dominated the music industry both as solo artists and as a couple. One of their recent collaborations, “Drunk In Love,” was controversial but nonetheless landed at No. 1.

Tickets go on sale for the general public May 2, while anxious fans can visit Beyonce’s or Jay Z’s Facebook page for information on advance purchases. The tour will launch in Miami on June 25 and wind down in San Francisco on August 5.

Miley Cyrus’ Mom Disses Her Nearly Naked Dress

Hollywood- Superstar Miley Cyrus’ mom, Tish Cyrus isn’t like a regular mom…she’s a cool mom — but that doesn’t mean she approves of all of her daughter’s scandalous stage looks! In fact, there’s one in particular she really drew the line with.
Everywhere Miley goes, her hands-on mom, Tish, is usually right behind her — but that doesn’t mean she always signs off on Miley’s over-the-top, racy outfits! In a new interview the mom admitted that there was one look in particular that she definitely didn’t approve of.

Tish Cyrus On Miley Cyrus’ Nipples:
“That’s the only one I really didn’t like,” Tish told E! News, referencing the get-up her 21-year-old daughter wore to the iHeartRadioMusic Festival in Vegas in September, which consisted of a see-through, mesh dress that put her black pasties, (and her chest!), on full display.

Young Jeezy arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his son

Young Jeezy arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his son

— Young Jeezy was arrested in Atlanta Friday for battery, false imprisonment and making threats against his 17-year-old son Jadarius, TMZ reported Tuesday.
Court documents allege that in September of 2012 Jeezy got into a bathroom fight with Jadarius and threw him into to glass shower door causing him to hit his head. He then reportedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and pummeled him.

Jeezy turned himself in to authorities after a grand jury issued a warrant for each charge. After he bonded out for $45,000, a source close to the singer said the allegations where far from the truth and that the whole thing has been orchestrated by his son’s mother, Tenesha Dykes.

According to sources, the father and son did get into an intense argument in September 2012, but it was never violent. Insiders claim that Jeezy was reprimanding his son for his attitude and telling him he didn’t want his friends at the house.

After Jadarius became belligerent the two started screaming at each other. The source also denied claims that Jeezy told his son “I will kill you … I will put a bullet in your head right now,” arguing that the singer’s line was more along the lines of “I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it.”

Sources stressed that Dykes was the mastermind behind the arrest, and that she’s been brainwashing Jadarius to try to get money from Jeezy.

Jameis Winston Comes Through When It Matters Most For Nole

Jameis Winston Comes Through When It Matters Most For Nole

PASADENA, Calif. — For 58 minutes and 41 seconds Jameis Winston was being dissected. Not just by the Auburn defense, but by amateur and professional QB gurus all over the country as they watched a potentially huge upset unfolding on a grand stage.

The 6-5, 230-pound Heisman winner looked rusty and sluggish and confused, and his throwing motion now just seemed too much of a windup and slow. And then, Winston trotted out onto the field with his team down 31-27, the ball spotted on the Noles’ 20-yard line and the Rose Bowl crowd on its feet.

Winston, the redshirt freshman of the unbeaten Noles who had blown out all 13 of their previous opponents, had a simple message to his teammates before the first play of the biggest drive of his life: “This is what we came here for.”

“I was ready,” Winston said. “I wanted to be in that situation because that’s what great players do. That’s what great quarterbacks do. “That’s what the Tom Bradys, Peyton Mannings, Drew Brees, that’s what they do. Any quarterback can go out there and perform when they’re up 5-0 in the second quarter. That’s what you’re judged by, especially by your teammates. I’m pretty sure I got more respect from my teammates and the people around me on that last drive than I got the whole year.”

He’s probably right. For the past week, Winston had displayed an uncanny knack for being so at ease in front of the bright lights on a big media stage with dozens of mics and cameras crowding him. The QB from Alabama, a budding star for the Noles baseball team, looked almost as comfy late Monday night after the Tigers took the lead on Tre Mason’s 37-yard TD run, punctuated by the Auburn star breaking into two Heisman Trophy poses for the cameras as he made his way to greet his exuberant teammates.

“[Jameis] showed his heart on that last drive,” Greene said. “I never had a doubt [we were going to win that game]. Honest to God.”

Winston’s numbers on the day were unspectacular by his standards: 20 of 35, 237 yards, two TDs, one fumble, four sacks. But on the money drive with those 79 seconds left, he was 6 of 7 for 80 yards and the biggest TD pass the Noles have had in over a decade. Maybe ever, considering this gave FSU the last national title in BCS history and finally ended the SEC’s dominant run of seven national titles in a row.

“It’s the best football game he has played all year, and I’ll tell you why, because for three quarters he was up and down and he fought,” coach Jimbo Fisher said. “And, just like any great player, some nights you don’t have it.
